The EB-5 Program has been Extended to December 7, 2018
On September 28, 2018, the President signed a continuing resolution which includes language that authorizes an extension of the EB-5 Regional Center Program (the “Program”) until December 7, 2018. The last extension on the Program was through September 30, 2018, via the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018.
Although the latest extension presents no legislative reform to the Program, both EB-5 stakeholders and legislators will likely seek to continue negotiations to reform the Program. Among potential proposed changes, which will affect all future EB-5 investors once the rules become effective, are new minimum investment amounts and targeted employment areas (TEA) qualification requirements.

M&T Bank Officially Calls 1 Light Street, its New Mid-Atlantic Headquarters,
Live In America EB-5’s Featured Project – 1 Light Street (the “Project”), welcomed its anchor office tenant, M&T Bank on September 17th, 2018. The Project is the first ground-up office tower built in the business core north of Lombard Street since the early 1990s in the central business district of downtown Baltimore, the largest city in Maryland.
M&T Bank is a subsidiary of M&T Bank Corporation, a bank holding company headquartered in Buffalo, New York, which had assets of $118 billion at January 18, 2018. M&T Bank has more than 750 domestic banking offices, free account access at more than 1,800 M&T Bank ATMs and 17,000 employees in New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
The bank signed a lease a 15-year lease at 1 Light Street for approximately 163,606 SF with two five-year extensions, as it wanted a light-filled, open space with opportunities for employees to collaborate across various divisions, according to Mr. Augie Chiasera, M&T Bank’s greater Baltimore region president.
The Project is a Class-A, mixed-use office, residential apartment, retail, and parking development, and at 28 stories tall will offer unparalleled 360-degree city and water views. The Project Company is being developed by affiliates of Madison Marquette and CG (Retail) Inc.

Another Live In America EB-5 Project Receives I-924 Approval!
99 Hudson – Now The Tallest Skyscraper In Jersey City And New Jersey
99 Hudson Street – Live In America EB-5’s project with China Overseas America Inc. (“COA”), is now the tallest skyscraper in the state of New Jersey! COA is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Overseas Holding Limited, which was founded in 1979 in Hong Kong is one of the largest real estate developers in China.
As reported by New York YIMBY on September 26, 2018, the height of 99 Hudson, located at 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City, New Jersey, has now officially surpassed the Goldman Sachs building (30 Hudson Street), which had held the crown since its completion in 2004.
The Project Company, COA 99 Hudson LLC, purchased the site in November 2014 to develop a first-class mixed-use 79-floor tower fronting on Hudson Street. The building will contain approximately 781 for-sale condominium units.
On September 6, 2018, Live In America – New York Regional Center LLC, the USCIS approved regional center wholly owned by Live In America EB-5, received the I-924 approval for its exemplar filing for the 99 Hudson project. As the result of the approval, USCIS will provide deference with respect to the Project to any Form I-526 petitions filed by an individual investor associated with the Project.
To date, Live In America EB-5 is proud to report that it maintains a record of 100% approval rate for all its investors and project petitions.
